About Postnatal Mum and Baby Fitness

It is highly beneficial for new mums to keep themselves healthy, both in terms of their physical and mental health. Physical activity is essential in maintaining part of a healthy lifestyle. This can provide a host of benefits for mums, and all this can be achieved with your baby at your side!

Our exercise classes are run with and without buggies and will provide a great platform for new mums, helping them achieve a faster postnatal recovery.

Physical Fitness

Staying fit and healthy helps in achieving a faster postnatal recovery. It also aids in providing 'functional fitness', which is essential within the demanding role of motherhood.

Mental Health

Physical exercise promotes the release of endorphins, which helps to keep the brain in tip-top condition and promotes positive thinking! It's also known to help with stress release and in reducing the risk of postnatal depression.

Weight management

Keeping active throughout the postnatal period will help in returning to a healthy pre-pregnancy weight. It will aid in losing any excess weight that has been naturally gained during the pregnancy... you don't sit still with us!

Social Interaction

Postnatal group sessions are proven to improve and encourage social interaction with other new mums. These social interactions and a positive environment in our classes will also develop your baby's ability for interaction in group scenarios.

Other Benefits

Helps strengthen and tone the pelvic floor, the abdominal muscles, and slow bone loss during lactation. Overall, it will increase body awareness and help with improving self-image.
